ChangingPDF is a browser-based PDF editing tool. We designed the service to let you edit PDF files without requiring you to upload them to our servers.

Your PDF files

PDF files you open in ChangingPDF are processed directly in your browser. We do not upload or store your PDF files on our servers as part of the normal editing process.

The PDF file you select remains in your browser while you use the editor. When you export your edited PDF, the resulting file is downloaded directly to your device.

Information we may collect

You can use ChangingPDF without creating an account. The website may process limited technical information needed to operate the service, enforce usage limits, measure website usage, or support advertising and other features that may be added to the service.

We do not need access to the contents of your PDF files in order for the browser-based editor to work.

Cookies and local storage

ChangingPDF currently uses browser local storage to keep track of your free-edit usage. This information is stored in your browser and is used to enforce the available editing limit.

We may also use cookies or other browser storage in the future for functionality, preferences, analytics, advertising, or other features. Any such technologies will be used in accordance with applicable requirements and reflected in updates to this policy.

The local storage used for the edit limit does not contain the contents of your PDF files.

Analytics and advertising

ChangingPDF may use third-party analytics or advertising services to understand website usage and support the service.

If these services are used, they may collect information such as device type, browser information, approximate location, pages visited, or interactions with advertisements, subject to their own privacy policies.

Third-party services

Some parts of ChangingPDF may rely on third-party services. Those services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Data retention

ChangingPDF does not normally store your PDF files on its servers. PDF files remain available to the editor only while they are present in your browser session.

The free-edit usage count may remain in your browser's local storage until it is cleared or otherwise changed.
